Back to school 2025

The count down is on to school returning on Wednesday 29 January for our Year 1 to 6 students.  We look forward to seeing our new Prep friends on Thursday 30 January. Please read more to make sure you are ready!

Don't forget to wear your full school uniform and pack you;

• Snack
• Lunch
• Drink Bottle and
• Your Sun Smart Hat (if you have misplaced or lost your hat, new ones can be ordered via the QKR! App in your house colour)

To help your child/ren be ready for their first day of school in 2025 please make sure you have:

 

1. Prepared and labelled your child's school uniform, including a blue broad-brimmed sun smart hat. The wearing of school uniform is compulsory. All our uniform pieces can be purchased via Kingsley Park Primary School – State Schools' Relief Online Store (ssr-online-store.myshopify.com)

 

2. If you have yet to make a payment towards the Parent Contributions 2025, this can still be done via the QKR! App. Further information on Parent Contributions can be found here at Information on Parent Contributions 2025. Should you wish to put in place a payment arrangement, please contact the schools Business Manager, Janine Coe, via email at janine.coe@education.vic.gov.au or call the school on 9789 0077. Kingsley Park are very grateful for any contributions that families are able to make.

 

3. Please check that all items brought to school are named clearly - hats, bags, uniform items such as jumpers, lunch boxes and drink bottles, just to name a few things!

 

4. A reminder that school starts for our year one to six students on Wednesday 29 January from 8:45am till 3:15pm. Classroom doors will open at 8:35am to allow students time to settle before learning begins on the first day on Term 1.

 

Our new Preps will have their first day on Thursday 30 January, finishing their first two days at 1:00pm as per their transition timetable.

 

5. Please make it a priority to contact the school if your current details, or the details of your emergency contacts have changed. You can notify us of changed details by emailing the school at: kingsley.park.ps@education.vic.gov.au or by completing a Portal Amendment via the Sentral App.

 

6. Booked your after school care place with Team Kids at: https://www.teamkids.com.au/venues/kingsley-park-primary-oshc/

We do suggest that all families register their chid/ren for Team Kids, as while you are under no obligation to use the service, it could be a support for you in the event of an emergency.

 

7. Update your child's medical profile to ensure that we have correct medical information. Should you need to bring any medication to the school, please visit the front office and ensure the medication provided is in original packaging. Our office staff will assist in having you complete necessary paperwork. Ros Carlton is our First Aid Administrator, and is available to answer any questions you may have regarding medication required during school hours.
