Children cannot take medication unless written authorisation is provided by the parent. All medication is to be brought to the school office and an authorisation from filled out by the parent / guardian. Authorised medications are kept in the office or First Aid Room and administered by the first aid trained staff.
Children will not be allowed to self administer medication except for asthmatic children. Parents should, in this case, provide full written details of dosage, time, asthma action plan etc. A pump / inhaler is not provided by the school.
Children who suffer from moderate or severe allergic reactions must provide medication required and an up to date emergency action plan at the start of each school year.
