Kingsley Park is located in the Lakewood Estate Frankston, approximately 42 kilometres from the centre of Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula. Situated in a semi-bush setting, Kingsley Park has a rural feel to the tree lined grounds close to Robinson Reserve. School improvement priorities identified by the leadership team combined with School Council for moving the school forward to future success include Literacy, Numeracy and Student Wellbeing including Student Agency. Kingsley Park has a proud history of community participation and support, which generates a strong sense of community pride. The school community embrace and value the welcoming feel of the school participating in a wide range of events.
Kingsley Park Primary School is a vibrant place that encourages learning, laughter and play in a friendly and warm environment. We understand the importance of providing a safe environment for everyone and have a zero tolerance approach to child abuse.
‘Engaging’ children each and every day in a safe and secure environment is a key focus. We know that without children feeling safe they are unable to engage fully with their learning. The key to engagement is connectedness and stimulating learning and these are key elements in the children’s explorations and learnings each day at school.
‘Together’ we achieve more. The children in isolation will explore but require guidance and scaffolding to excel. The children with a teacher achieve more through a gradual release of responsibility stemming from modelling through to independent application in a real life setting. The children, teacher, parents and families however are what truly achieve the greatest outcomes.
Our core School Values encompass the learning at Kingsley Park Primary School. It is central to the culture at our school and students, teachers and parents are asked to demonstrate these.
Respect- We respect each other, the rights of others and our environment.
Resilience- We instil in students the confidence to have a go and try their best and the ability to bounce back.
Excellence- The quality of putting in your best personal effort into all that you do and not having the focus on ‘beating others’. We aim for every student to excel to their personal best.
Cooperation-We promote the values of collaboration, cooperation and getting along at all times.
Community- We encourage honest and open community interaction and involvement.

Kingsley Park is a Kids Matter School. We are proactive about our approach to bullying and participate in the National Day of Action against Bullying and Violence annually. We follow the Respectful relkationships and Restorative Justice approach and maintain respectful relationships with our students, especially when dealing with behaviour issues. We strive to provide a safe, happy and inspiring learning environment for all of our students. There are clear expectations for academic success, behaviour, attendance, participation and leadership. We focus on punctuality and believe that regular attendance is highly important; working together on this is the key.
Teachers have high expectations of students with increasing academic achievements. This is formalized with the use of researched pedagogy and practice elements that make the most difference to students learning outcomes. Teachers develop strong partnerships with parents in support of their child’s education. Parents continue to see the school in a positive light as shown through our Parent Opinion Survey feedback. We continue to engage with parents about teaching practices and their role within their child’s education. We strongly encourage two-way communication; if there is a problem, share it with us so we can help, if you have any feedback, positive or constructive, then please give it to us so we can improve.
To support and enhance communication, classroom doors are open from 8.35am, 10 minutes prior to learning time for informal chats with parents and for students to be organised and prepared for learning time. Sentral is our key form of communication for formalised communication and updates, alongside our website and Facebook pages. Parent involvement in the school is welcomed and includes an active Kingsley Park Parent Group (KPG) and parent involvement at classroom level.
